It also sounds like you have compatibility issues, which makes sense as the IIS 6 probably confuses things, amongst other things.
a CRAXDRT error sounds like you are NOT using Crystal Enterprise, perhaps you should explain how these reports are being run?
btw, even CR 9 wasn't Windows 2003 compatible.

We call Crystal Report from asp (using a standard set of asp scripts downloaded from Business Objects site. I'm not familiar with asp/VB. The inline docunmentation in those scripts say that Report Designer Component and WSC) and show the report on ActiveX viewer with the button 'Export'.
