One of our users with a Windows 2000 workstation is having problems with regular crashing of the OS during standard tasks (i.e. typing in MS Word).
While working on the PC I noticed a link between the crashes and right clicking. Once I right clicked on an icon to rename it which caused the PC to hang with the hour glass spinning and I had to reboot.
The second time was when I right clicked a Start Menu icon to delete it which caused the start menu area of the screen to remain inactive. I could however shift Windows behind the blank area.
I was just wondering if anyone could think of what might be the root cuase of this. I've tried SP4 but it hasn't changed anything.
All ideas welcomed!
Cheers
