Hello

Can I get CR9 to save the MS SQL password with the report itself? It keeps asking me for the password when I first establish a connection to the DB.

Thanks,
Zed

Assuming an ODBC connection (since you didn't mention your db connectivity), as long as you use SQL Server Authentication, you will need to supply a password. If you are able to use NT Authentication, you can bypass the logon screen.

So maybe this will become a security question.

If I setup ODBC connection along with NT security in SQL then anyone with any notion of DB connections can use that connection to get at the data.

The way the tables are setup it would have to be an all or nothing NT access.

I just want to give users access to the data that I lay out in the report. They will use a viewer to run the report.

Thanks again,
Zed

What kind of viewer to run the report? Are you coding the viewer yourself? Is it a 3rd-party viewer?
