Hi,

The report created with parameters using Dev DB box would not run against QA box .

It all because of the ODBC connection set up.

It is prompting to enter User id and PWD for QA box when go from the report and change the ODBC connection(RDO) by hitting the Back Button to change to the QA ODBC from default DEV ODBC set up.

How would it dynamically agree if environments swith over.

Please provide some valuable suggestions with any code.

appreciatable.

Thanks a lot,
Regards,

Hi,

Should someone help me out for the issue i have .

Please let me know if it is not clear

Thanks a lot,

Hi,
You need to use the 'database..Set Datasource Location' option to change from the Dev to the QA data - It cannot be handled dynamically in Crystal Reports.
Be sure to change the datasource in any subreports as well.

What Version of Crystal?
What database?

Hi,

I am sorry, I understood above point that you said ie "Set datasource location" but is there anyway to dynamically handle it by code.

Thanks

Hi,
Not that I know of ( in CR XI) - You can when using the developer tools like the RDC in an asp.net or in a VB app..

You can also set the datasource dynamically if you're using Business Views in BOE XI(or Crystal Reports Server) by using Dynamic Data Connections.
