Hi,

I am using CR 11R2 on a Windows 2003 server that hits a MS SQL 2007 database running on a Windows 2003 server. I have created a scheduled task to run the CR at 4am in the morning. The report succesfully runs and creates an output. But even after the output is created, the CR still tries to query the SQL database at specific intervals (this ranges from every 5 minutes to every 15 minutes, no ryme or reason). I have since recreated the report and re-entered the password to connect to the SQL database but the problem still persists.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Safa

Maybe it is the scheduler that is running constantly. How are you scheduling your reports? by InfoView?

I am using the VisualCut and a batch file to run the VisualCut. I have looked at the running tasks and the VisualCut is not running at the times that the query to the database is happening. So I am assuming that there is something else (either a connection string or ODBC string etc.) that does not close after the report finishes and continuously hits and refreshes the connection.

If the report included a subreport, that would explain it.
