CR not returning cursor to left margin 1

I am sending a Reset followed by Landscape, Leftmargin then a CPI12 command to a HP LaserJet 5Si.
My printout generates the first line ok, but the 2nd (and I assume the remaining lines) are starting on the next vertical line but the horizontal position is where the last line left off (not against the left margin).
e.g.
This is the first line
This is the second line
Third etc

Any ideas?

Add

<esc>&k2G

to your init. It looks like your app is only sending a LF and no CR. The above code will supply the CR.
