help me please
thanks

Not sure that 4.6 can handle this, but if it can you will certainly need the new Access 2000 driver. There was a recent post that gave the link to the driver. Keyword search this forum to find it. Ken Hamady

Dear guyz,
I am also facing a similar problem.
I have to print certificates with photographs in them.
How can I refresh these photographs by specifying the path or so...as Storing them in database is out of question.
Pls help me .. this is urgent.
best of luck

The only way to do this, and it can only handle one image at a time per report, is to make the link to an External image file with a specific name and then replace the file with a different image. There is no way, currently, to have CR read a new path dynamically. Ken Hamady

Thanx Kenhamady
I had already tried this method.
But the problem is that once I put a pic in the report
evenafter I change the picture saved in that particular location at a later time, the picture stored in the report doesnt get changed.
Then only I tried saving the location of the picture in database. Are you sure the method you specified works?
pls "SAVE" me!!
once again thanx for your effort..

Crystal inserts a copy of the image, unless you tell it not to. I will have to look up the sequence but it wasn't intuitive.

What version of CR? Ken Hamady

Hi Ken Hamedy
The version is 4.6.
Actually we have 8 in our office.
But as the client is agreed upon 4.6 and one set of
programs was delivered with 4.6 now I cant change it.
Thanx for ur efforts dear

I don't think you can do it with 4.6, but I will check. Ken Hamady

I can do it with my 4.5.

Use menu options Insert - Object.
Select "Create from File"
Then check off the "Link" option. Ken Hamady
