Cpu's will not swap at Midnight's

During midnight's I'm getting CCED219 Cannot SCPU: A stdby net resource(s) has a fault
I tested the inactive CNI,CPU and CMDU all test ok.test rdun and scsi test ok.By testing and the memory resinking could this clear the problem. I sugested swapping cpu back and forth but they do'want to do that as this is a open 24 hour site.Switch is rls 3 opt 61.Don't get to work on much. thanks in advance.

Set the two modules in front of your mckenzee deer target and shoot the cpiv right in the display and i bet they switch

Do a LD135 SCPU, FORCE YES. The PBX will not commit suicide.


From the books:
If, when attempting to switch CPs, the system determines the
currently active side is better than the standby side, a message appears on the TTY:
FORCE
Enter <YES> to force SCPU to standby Core x.
Press <Return> to abort SCPU.

This will show if there are differences between sides 0 and 1

Why is your system in Split Mode? This would do it. Enable the CMDU and then you may have to sync the system, then enable RDUN.


ld 137

.enl cmdu 1
If this works and comes up in standby mode

.test cmdu 1
this can take about 30 minutes

once done

.enl rdun
.test rdun
this can take about 30 minutes

then you may need to:

.sync

janaya- don't know why it's in split mode. we had a power outage 2 days ago. BTW, your first command didn't work....

I've only ran into split mode once and it was done by a vendor. we had a crash and needed to do it. I don't even think we have the hardware or software to hook up and take it out of split mode......dunno.

bhassell2000 ---yes, cpu 0 is the same as cpu 1....norm and enabled.

if your CPUs, CMDUs and CNIs are all in norm in both shelves then its a problem, need to do some research

Well it's not seeing CMDU1. You may have to reseat this. You would need to put the switch in SPLIT mode correctly and do this. Not hard, but do it after hours.

If it still doesn't see it then you may have a CMDU that went out. Not cheap, but not real expensive. Just a reload of the software and patches, then database and join them.

Probably 2-3 hours to complete.

What release is the switch?

you will need a cd of software, keycode diskette, install diskette and the PEPs, it not really hard and I can post step by step instructions on the CMDU card
