Hi all,
I have a site having system 61c rls 25.40.With following IODU and CP
CP , 0 15, NT5D03PB 02
CP , 1 15, NT5D03PB 02

IODU/C, 0 17,

NT5D61AB 10

IODU/C, 1 17, NT5D61AB 10

The CPU-0 somehow gots down 2 months ago. I tried INI at once with no success, SYNC,SCPU,STAT,TEST commands were not working and STAT was showing CP 0 disabled. Yesterday i took the down time of 4 hours and after 4 hours working the result was nothing. Below is what i did during 4 hours.

(1) CPU-1 was on maint. state, i disable CNI of CPU-0, inserted CP and IODU in CPU0,
enabled IODU then CNI through switch then pressed Man Int of CP and stayed with Man Rst button and switch on CP to Normal. CPU0 didnt got booted and stayed on a messgae

SYS702 64 - Total Flash size (in megs), all banks populated
SYS702 96 - DRAM size (in megs) - Banks 123456 populated
SYS703 0DE8 - Self Tests completed
SYS700 04 - Selecting Boot Source--->stucked here. though i got the SYS007 message.
(CPU-1 was on Maint state)
Then i set CP of CPU0 to Main state and pressed Maint Int of CP of CPU0, the CPU0 got
booted normally but no SYNC/JOIN/SCPU command accepting.
I was suspecting CPU0 database/OS thats why i installed OS and restored database from
CPU-1(recent data) and did again the above procedure with no same result. When i stat CPU from j25 of CPU1 it shows CPU0 disabled and if i stat CPU from j25 of CPU0 it shows CPU1 disabled.
I again then Man Int CPU1 (while CPU0 was ON, the result was same CPU1 got stuck on message
SYS700 04 - Selecting Boot Source--->stucked here. though i got the SYS007 message.
this message repeats after every minute.

Then i completely off both Cores and again On both COres after a minute, the system got stuck and never boot and on both J25 of core i got the message
SYS700 04 - Selecting Boot Source--->stucked here. though i got the SYS007 message.

Mean to say if we On both Core ate same time/or try to boot both core at same time system never gets ON and always stuck in a loop of searching boot sourece. Bothe cores work individually OK if i ON a single core while othe CP is on main or unplugged.

The capture of error loop is given below

Please help me out in this

do a stat cpu in LD135 and a stat in LD 137 and post. sounds like you maybe be split.

When i stat (system is on core0) CPU it shows CP-0 in split mode and CP-1 in disabled and when i stat (system on core-1, after unplugging/disabling core0 and sysload system works on core-1) CPU it shows CP-1 split and CP-0 disabled.
The problem is that SYNC/JOIN/SCPU/SPLIT dont work neither system gets sync if i follows steps as described in NTP`s, after SYS007, HI message of sync never come and both core stays searching boot source, however the boot individually OK( by putting one core on Maint and rebooting it then booting other) and i can run PBX through either CORE.
regards

Are your CNI's and 3PE's okay? Also, check the two cables that connect the cores on the backplane

I didnt test 3PE and CNI`s, Can i use different CNI eng. code with cores. i mean i have a backup CNI card but its eng code is different from CNI presently in the system can i use that CNI card?? Also which core CNI or 3PE do i suspect?
regards

you should be okay using what you have, I would test them all because it's hard at this point to see where you situation is... you don't have any maint switches in maint, do you?
