I need some help! I have a HP Pavilion 4535 with a celeron 400/66 which is socket 370 PPGA cpu. I was told by HP I could upgrade to a 733/66. However in looking for this CPU I see the term FCPGA and I would like to know if anyone can tell me the differance between a PPGA & FCPGA or is there any differance? Do not ask why I want to upgrade this old machine I just want to do it for the fun of it. Thanks for the help!!!

Perhaps this definition will help:

As you can see from that link, you will need to ask HP whether the motherboard supports VRM 8.4 specifications. Although FC-PGA (Flip-Chip Pin Grid Array) and PPGA (Plast Pin Grid Array) are similar, they are not exactly identical.

Thank you, it is the information I needed. Now to find the chip. Thanks again. Hal8185
