I am replacing a CPU on a IPK 64 system (recommended by NEC to upgrade CPU)
When I insert the CPU the system will be defaulted right?
And if so I want to upload my saved system info back to that new CPU.
My question is....when the system is defaulted what is the default modem port? I need to do this remotely.

Thanks

Ummm.... this may be a silly question, but since you can't change the CPU remotely, why do you have to do the software reload remotely?

Make sure you have an MIFM card in the system, hook up SAT, backup the system, swap the CPU, restore the system.

I've done upgrades from 48's to IPK's in under an hour, including taking the old one off the wall and mounting the new one using this method.

I don't have the special connector for local connection.
So I am going to be onsite but using dial up.
What is the default extension when I put the new CPU so I can connect? (290?)

thanks

cannot get modem on remote dial in -- to a nec 2000 IVS2
Here is what I did.
cmd 4018 set to 0
did a ccc on the extension I am using (399)
cmd 4010 set to 0
