Have 2 10d Libraries running smooth.

11d simple CPS install and a agent server installed on a test server and all I get is "Access denied" when I try to make a pair.

Replying to my own thread, how glamourous.

Here's the end of the wasted time game. Thank Budda that I had 4 weeks lead time to make this system,...

When I recieved my 11d media kit I installed CPS,...and it was a Kaboom after trying to make the first pair with errors of "Access Denied". Windows error logs say the same.

While going through the install wizard, We...(Meaning Symantec's advanced support group and myself), working from WebEx didn't find a corelationship with lack of choosing from the Install option of local or Domain account, and having the local grayed-out. It should have flaged us as looking suspicious.

The 11d had the "Local" Choice shadowed out. We couldn't choose, that's creepy and we had to use a domain admin account. The manufacterer reccommends an AD account, but my 10d CPS servers work great as local.

My error "Access Denied" makes sense. Symantec shipped me a corrrupt Media Package and it wrote to my registry in ugly ways.

I importeded a different copy of CPS11d from an associate and it failed the same.

I install 12d and it all works perfect. BTW older 11d Agent servers come up in Setup and can be backed up, it apears to be bacwards compatatible, but I'm sure they will tell you it shouldn't be.

Those that know the history,...BE is consistently inconsistent.
