Hello,
I am running s8500/G650 ver 2.01 and I am trying to connect my system to 2 other sites via IP trunk.
At my system I am using C-LAN & MED-PRO to create the IP trunk (I am not using a Cisco GW at my side).
At the second site there is a Siemens Hipath 4000.
At the third site there is a Nortel PBX.
I am able to call each one of the sites via the IP trunk and at the remote sites they see only my calling extension with the trunk name, even though trace trunk and even MST trace shows that my side transmits the CPN name together with the extension number.
When the second & third sites (Siemens - Nortel) are communicationg between them, the CPN name & the extension is displayed.
Both the Second & the third sites (Siemens & Avaya) are using a Cisco GW (26xx) and I have configured my IP trunks & signaling grougs from my C-LAN to the relevant GW address.
Everything is working just great but the CPN name transfer.
Does anybody have an idea of what can cause this problem?
Any help will be very much appreciated!

We have Avaya in hosted IPT environment where is also a lot of Cisco equipment and we don't have a problem with name presentation. BTW, we made a lot of interoperability tests between Avaya and other vendors and in almost all cases name presentation works fine. Can you post configuration of IP trunk and signaling group on Avaya PBX?

Hello Doyaya,
Thanks for your reply. Below you can find the trunk & signaling groups of the Avaya and the Cisco GW configuration with its dialing peer towards the Avaya (addresses are masked with X's).

Thanks in advance for your help!

I have to check gateway config with our cisco guys , meanwhile change value of Supplementary Service Protocol from B to A on trunk and signaling group. B is for Qsig.

The Cisco GW is configured to use primary-qsig and this side can't be changed (this GW is connected to a lot of sites with qsig).

nil91,
you have to turn off qsig on Avaya side as I mentioned before, it must work. I'm not 100% sure but cisco gw doesn't support qsig over IP.

Hello Doyaya,
I have changed the "Supplementary Service Protocol" to a (national) at the trunk group and to a (AT&T) at the signaling group, but still the same problem exists.
Are these settings OK? at the trung group there are additional settings.

Hello,
We've ran the isdn debug trace at the Cisco GW (at the Nortel side) and the CPN sent from the Avaya side is being displayed at the display_i feild, but still it is not displayed on the remote phone itself.
When we ran the trace of calls between the Siemens & the Nortel sides, the display_i field was blank but the CPN names was transfered.
It seems they are decoded at the facility_i field instead.

Does anyone have an idea how to make the Avaya use the facility_i field instead of the display_i? (it is impossible to change the far sites PBXs to use the display_i field).

Many thanks in advance for any assistance!
