Hi, recently i rebuild a CPMGs after a hard disk crash with database restore, patches are also update. But i am facing an issue of having now voice between main cabinet to others cabinet once in every month and it gets OK after a restart. The other cabinet stop talking (no voice, release and try message appears on phone)with the main cabinet having CPMGs and vice versa. I also scratched MGC of the CPMGs and programmed IPs again but i am still getting this error. Any help??

Do you have actual the firmware for the media gateways ?

You will need to flatten the Media Gateway part back to the Gold Image

I tried scratching the configuration and then reconfigure. Bignose i guess it synched with CPMG since it shows correct loop on CPNG display.
Can you please guide how to flatten the MG to gold image?

AvayaHE= didnt understand what your suggestion.

To flatten It depends if you can login to the MGC part etc. What can you do on it? If you can not login what can you get to (control I or just control B). Or are you actually wanting to replace the gold image with New one?

What state secure transfer has on Callserver ( ovl 117 )?

Yes i wants to replace it with a fresh new gold image.

I am not sure what STAT SECURE TRANSFER is set, i will take the status...By the way should it be SECURE??

can you please share the latest gold image file of MGC, System is on 7.6. Please also share the procedure.

Sorry , can not answer douring work time
Secure Transfer sometime can be a problem
i success in your case MGC starts up and can not receive file from the Node
Check status of transfer secure and transfer unsecure
I would try before you use Gold image.
Can you login MGC by serial port ? if yes, observe messages in the finale steps after reboot mgc
Another step if you has access MGC try command JoinSecDomain
If all these attempts do not help, you can still do the procedure with the Gold image

Tbh when I have had issues with the sec transfer not working there is a couple of ways around it. First on disable secure transfer in 117 and make sure insecure is enabled. Reboot MGC and files are ftp over. Other method is log in to the MGC and do a joinSecDomain put in the UCM/SMGR details and try the upgrade again from 143.

Also in the Call server PDT stat the ISSS see if it's enabled if it is this also causes emails and constant reboots of MGC, in that case you would just go to the ISSS settings in UCM/SMGR and sync and activate the MGC.

If the card is booting up and just not upgrading I would not really be looking to flash the gold image tbh.

I have checked secure transfer is disabled. I will also check the ISSS option. Can you please share the latest gold image here?? or please share a download link.

MGC Default to Gold Image

To get the MGC Card to boot to the Gold Image you must get to the MGC bootrom prompt. Use the following steps to do this.

1. Reboot the MGC Card
2. as it is booting type <CTRL> B just after the creation date is printed and the
{VxWorks Boot} prompt should be displayed.
3. at the prompt type in “test”
4. choose option b to change boot options
5. select option 2 to force csp to boot from gold image once
6. select option 0 to return to previous menu
7. press return key to exit menu and return to prompt
8. enter @ at the prompt
9. the mgc will boot to the gold image

To format the compact flash from the gold image you must press <CTRL> I when prompted during the MGC gold boot. This will bring up a VxWorks prompt ->, At the prompt enter, diskformat “all” This will format the MGC’s internal compact flash. Reboot the MGC and when it registers to the call server it will automatically upgrade.

That was the reason for my question earlier of what it's doing how far it's getting. As if for example it's fully up and you can log in then you can just do "mgcIPClear" and "diskFormat" also can be worth doing "leaveSecDomain" to achieve the same. Or if you can get to the control I the you can use the formatdisk "all" command. Some thing like that doing it from memory as I am away at the moment back next week. But if you can only get to control B then as above is the way to do it.
