CP PII CLAN

Hi Guys

I m assigning IP address to 61c WITH PII processor.
the IP i specify in ld 117 is elan IP. how it connects
to clan with the ip configured. when i connect to lan 1
connector with a cross cable to my pc i dont get interface
up.lan 2 is connected to lan2 with crossover cable. Please help.

i have non cross-over from each core to a hub, my pc/network connects to that hub. did you "CHG ELNK ACTIVE" in 117? if so you should be able to ping from the switch to the pc

Thats alright but with the current set up i have connected
with crossover cable to pc with lan1. Please also specify
what communication takes place over lan 1 and lan 2. the ip we
specify in ld 117 is for which , either lan1 or lan2.and the clan and elan ip are same in ld 117.

In communication, do you mean protocol? You have to use a emulator that supports the RLOGIN protocol or you will need to set up a Telnet Server.

Without a Telnet Server, Procomm will not work.

the connections are never in use at the same time, switch uses the ip on the active core, a direct connect should work as well as a ping, ld 117 ping x (the ip of the next hop.. that ld 117 command will be from serial access. not knowing what your trying to build, it's a little tough to expand. you can access pdt level through that port but not much else
