Cox is sending me a call on a trunk that is busy

I recently moved an existing Norstar MICS with 4.1- T1 with PRI, the new telco provider is Cox Communications. The problem is about every week- week and a half the provider says the norstar is rejecting incoming calls, sometimes its all the calls and sometimes I can get 1 call in at a time.

I now know what is causing the problem, Cox is sending me a call on a trunk that is busy. My norstar is programmed as a PRI – NI2 – None.

Cox Communications is using a DMS500 as a switch

what is the b-channel sequence - ascend/ descend (norstar and CO should be complementary)
What is the link and provisioning status of all the B-channels

What do you mean by NI2-none

On analog trunks - 2nd call will be put thru with call waiting - on PRI it SHOULD go to the next available channel

If you don't get anywhere quickly, consider upgrading your MICS software. Up until 6.1 MR, there were a lot of PRI issues, and still some issues until the release of 7.1 .
