Coverage path question

I have a coverage path that points to two coverage answer groups and then to a hunt group. The hunt group should send the caller to an auto attendant. It doesn't route the call into the AA but gives a busy signal. I also does the same if routed to voicemail hunt group. What needs to change in order of the Octel to answer? The incoming destination route here using a different method but it does answer. Any ideas why the PBX will not or cannot route to the AA?

Thanks

Can you do a LIST TRACE STATION of the station that has the coverage path??
Then make a call and post the result of the trace.

Unless I miss my guess, you have the AA extension setup as a station without hardware, that has a coverage path that will lead it to the Octel system and the AA programming.

When you send a call to coverage, it won't follow the coverage path of the coverage points. The call follows it's own coverage path.

To make this work you'd want the AA to be setup as a VDN. The VDN would go to a vector that would direct the call to the Octel system.

If you don't have any vectoring, the only think I can suggest you do is route the call to the AA as a trunk call. You would setup a remote coverage point that would be a DID number that leads to the AA. (So instead of routing to an extension, you route to the full DID number of the AA.) This will work for you, but it has downsides. You'll busy up two trunks to complete the call to the AA, and you'll introduce trunk line losses that make the call audio quieter than it would have been.
