Greetings, any help from you guys would be appreciated. One of out VP's extension is setup with a coverage path. We'd like to be able to forward the first point in the coverage path to a cell phone and have the cell phone ring instead of the first point in the coverage path when the extension rolls to the coverage path. Is this possible? The users claim that this feature was working before, but we can't seem to get it working now. Call forwarding from the station works fine. We've created "dummy" coverage paths and attempted to test it without success. Are we failing to do something? Phone type is 8410D and Avaya Site Administration R1.9.06. Any help would be truly appreciated.

Their are several ways to accomplish what you are trying to do depending on the version of software you are running. To me, the easiest way would be to create a remote coverage path. To do this you need to "ch cover rem" or change coverage remote. Put the cell number in one of the numbered spots. Then change the coverage path and put in "r?" the question mark is the slot number you added into the coverage remote form.

Mikeydidit has it right on. Just remember to include a 9 (or whatever your outside line access code is) in the coverage remote field.

Is there a way to specify what trunk to use when using the remote coverage w/o manually putting in a custom ars route?

One of the big wigs cell phone here is in another area code, so I assume the call will try to follow out my dedicated T1, which will then request an account code and then hang.

I just noticed on Xmobile station forms that you can specify what trunk the xmobile station uses.

Mmm...I just tried this. I went to 'cha sys cov' and on second page I enabled coverage off-net.

Then I went to 'cha cov rem' and put a 9+xxx+xxxx in slot 1.

Then went to change the station and on the Coverage Path 1 put r1, and it says its an invalid entry.

Suggestions?

Ah, nevermind. I found it. Its on the cover path form - not the station form.

I'd like the following auto-attendant for my extension:

Hi, I am not in, leave a message at the prompt or if this is an emergency press 3 to reach me on my cell.

How would I set the auto-attendant to route to the remote-coverage path? Would you need a hunt group extension that covers to the remote coverage path?

Heh, cool. That works. I created a hunt group that covers to a cov pat that points to a remote coverage path, and then on the Intuity Audix LX, I created an auto-attendant so that they can press 1 to be transferred to the cell phone.
