COVERAGE ANSWER-GROUP CALLS TO AUDIX 1

I would appreciate any help with the following set-up:

We are using a G3R with version 9 software. Would like to route an inbound call to a department with a coverage answer-group so that the call would alert all dept. phones for eight rings, then go to AUDIX if no one is available.

To further complicate matters, would need to use the "AUT-MSG-WT" feature on all phones so that the entire dept. whould know when a message has been left.

Currently, we have successfully set up the cov-ans-grp, but with no AUDIX -- calls just ring indefinately.

Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

We have a similar set up that you want. We have 5 phones that ring all at once and if they don't answer it goes to voicemail. We did this by having a common extension X ported with a coverage path that rang 6 times with the next coverage path as audix. We then set up the 5 phones with 2 bridge appearances of the common extension so that they can transfer the call if they needed to. Then we programmed the 5 phones with aut-msg-wt button for the common extension. Hope this helps out. Phone Boy/Slave

OK I'm trying to set up a cover answer group. I have added it to the switch with 6 members. O Where do I direct the call to it?? Is it in the vectors or hunt groups, coverpath?? So many buttons So little time
Thanks All

phoneman2, It will be in the coverage path as cx

Sorry, that looks kinda confusing.

cx
the c stands for coverage answer group and the x is the coverage answer group number.

Thank you very much. Sorry to piggy back on your post ncphoneman (like the name). You do have to add the cx in a coverpath as the cover point. So many buttons So little time
Thanks All
