I have a report that has several entires per person and then a total line for that person. At the end of the report, I'd like to count how many different people are on the report. How can I do it?
Thanks,
jnix

Add a text box to the Person header:
Name: txtCountPerson
Control Source: =1
Running Sum: Over All
Add a text box to the report footer section:
Control Source: =txtCountPerson

Thanks Duane. Now I've got another problem. I'd like to make sub-counts by division as well as an overall total count.

What is a "division"? You haven't provided any specifications so no one can help. Please try again with complete information.

Duane:
Individuals are within divisions and divisions are within the total report,e.g.
division 1
person 1 100
person 1 200
total person 1 300

person 2 300
person 2 400
total person 2 700

total division 1 count 2 1,000

division 2
person 1 50
person 1 75
total person 1 125

person 2 900
person 2 800
total person 2 1,700

total division 2 count 2 1,875

grand total count 4 2,875

Thanks,

jnix

I would need to try some tests with similar counts and running sums in various group headers and footers. I suggest you do some testing on your own and come back if you have specific questions.
