Counting records per page- counter skipping numbers

Hi.

I have the following field, which counts the number of records (staff) displayed on each page. However, on some pages it skips a record, and I'm wondering what is wrong with the formula I have and how I can fix it. Please help. Thanks.

WhilePrintingRecords;
Global NumberVar x;
x:=x+1;
x

Sort by date Sort by votes
Difficult to say without any knowledge of report layout/structure.

Make the above formula visible on report so you can see it incrementing.

When you know which record is being skipped that might give you some clues as to why.
