I'm trying to count 'Page x of Y' in a Group.
Most groups have one page, several have 2 to 3.

I have inserted a running total(count) on the group that is working ok. I need the Total pages for the group to calculate.

This is in a monthly statement where multiple pages are common for a client.

Is this possible?
Thanks

Are you using the Special Field of [Page N of M?]
If you are, you can then Format your GroupFooter to "Reset Page Number After"

The [Page N of M] can placed in the Group Header or Footer and give the correct info.

I have inherited these reports(V8) and the issues.

There was a [Page N of M] in each group that said '1 of 3' in each group.

I took it out since it wasn't correct.

I will put it back in a try the reset.
Thanks

You were correct on [Page N of M] being set in the group,
The Group footer wasn't set properly.

Thanks again,

MDavis123,
Since your Group Running Total for pages is working OK, I would leave it. Put the Special Field "Page x of y" in the report footer. The RT will count pages for each group and the Special Field will count pages for the entire report.

I ended up with a special field [Page x of y] in the group section. The Group Footer (Reset Page After) had to be set.

csm2, you are correct in that I need a report page number for reprinting purposes. I will add a counter for this purpose.

Thanks to all.
