counting files in a directory

Is there any way to count the number of files that exist in a folder/directory and return the value as an integer in *VB3*?<br>Please help, all suggestions welcome!

hey i dont know if your still looking for help but first make a file list box and hide it some where in the form

file1 = &quot;&quot; <--- put directory in quotes
num = file1.ListCount <------ num represents the count of files. thats it!
