Hi All,

Need some help to count work days only and elminate weekends and holidays. Date is input field.

Thanks,

There are a few threads and a couple of faqs here (in Tek-Tops) which give the complete soloution (including holidays) e.g.

Calculate working days between two dates
faq181-261

Hello Michaelred and dhokoom,
Thanks for the reply

I am new to the access 2000 and I tried the FAQ181-261: To Calculate the working days between two dates but I am getting the "compile error argument not optional"
First I need to explain that on the form there is an input date field, after the update of the input field, the date field has to add 3 days for that input date and give the next date excluding saturday, sunday's and holidays.

example: The input date is 04/23/2009 it will display on the next field 04/28/2009. It added 3 days and excluded saturday and sundays.

I have to complete this problem as soon as possible . I appreciate your help.

perhaps the faq is not specifically addressing the problem? there are several other date/schedule orientated functions, such as faq705-3213 perhaps you could attempt to search the faqs for various topics/keywords?. this last one is found using the key work "businessdays"

Hi MichaelRed,

Can I put this function in input Date field after the update event or in the modules then can I call this function? please explain.

Thank you,

Sorry, I do not have the time to add more detailed comments to the code.
