Hello,

Suppose you have a very simple site, to sell items and you use paypal for shopping cart, payments etc.

Question: how to you keep track of inventory, like which item got out of stock, so that customers do not order it any more. I mean this should happen automatically. You should be able to enter the quantity in stock and after that the system should keep track of how much sold and how much left.

how to achieve this? Does paypal offer this feature?

I dont think paypal or any other payment gateway do inventory monitoring for it's clients. you need to have your own inventory database that will keep track of your sales activity.
