I would like to know the easiest way to count and display on a report the number of entries on the report?

Create one textbox in the report footer, and put in the following as control source for it:

=Count(["Name of some field in the report"])

Or you can just use
Count(*)

You can use it in the report header or footer (actually anywhere in the report but the report header and footer only show the result once).

ok when i run the report now i get an enter parameter prompt i have tried it both ways and get the same result either way

You probably need to give us a little more info on what you did and where you did it. Also, what does the parameter prompt ask for?

Paul

ok in report footer section i inserted a text box and then put Count(*) in the text box and number of tests in the corresponding label. then switched to report view when i switch i get the enter parameter box to enter a parameter for Count(*).
