I am preparing a daily sales reports for the cemetery where I work which lists contract details and amounts. For each item, I would like the total and the total # of items. The default value for each item is 0.00. When I try to count # of items, it counts the number of each item including the 0.00 items. How can I format to not count the 0.00 items?

The following format counts the 0 balances (which I don't want): =Count(grave)

I have asked our resident *expert* and she is stumped as well.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Check out the Dcount function, it's going to take the report a little longer to run, but if that's not a problem then it will work. Basically Dcount is a count run from a control that is pretty much it's own query...it doesn't have to be based on the recordsource...check it out. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the advice. I'm not familiar with DCount. Any suggestions on formatting: This doesn't work:

=DCount([grave])>0.00)

In other words, I want to count the # of items in the "grave" category that are over 0.00.

If you could provide further assistance, you will make my FY 2002-2003 Sheer Bliss! Thanks in advance.

=dcount("[grave]", "whatever you table/query is named", "[grave]>0.00")

that should work...make sure you put in your table or query name and enclose it in quotation marks...hope that helps.

THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!! Now, I can get back to work and stop obsessing on how to solve *this* problem!

Again, thanks!
