Hey whats up everyone first time post.

Well today at work I had a one person come to me saying that they are not able to recieve emails from 2 outside accounts. Yet she is able to get emails from other vendors. Now the question is could this be a DNS Issue? Since I did about 10 test emails sending it to the same email and they all got through. I was just wondering what did you all think about this. Reviewing the logs dosn't indicate that the messages from the 2 vendors emails are even getting to the mail server.

Thanks
-Drew

Could be a resolution problem on the originators system, try getting their technical guys to run an nslookup and verify the mx record for your domain is correct. Alternatively, could also be that their ptr record does not match the mx record of their domain and your mail system (or your isp smtp relays) are rejecting the email as it appears spoofed.

Ok When I get back to the site on Tuesday I will call up the companys and ask them to do that. I just found it odd that it was doing that all of a sudden. Another thing I wonder could it have been the attachments being blocked by their server going out. Yet I will have to see on Tuesday.
Thanks for the reply as well

How large are the attachments? Sometimes they are dropped because the size is to large to allow the attachments. Good luck.
