Could not start the Informix Dynamic Server

I cant start the Informix Dynamic Server ol_cg_nt Service on local computer (My o/s is Win2k). When I do manualy start on the service error message came out "Error 21: The device is not ready". Because of this my Application BAAN cannot run. I have tried to restart the computer few times. The HD size still have 60% free space.

Hi,

Message file located at a path gathered by this command:

findstr "MSGPATH" %INFORMIXDIR%\etc\%ONCONFIG%

may tell more about problem it faced at the last shared memory initialization. Go at the end-of-file and search for the problem reported lines. Please post your findings. We would be able to diagnose the problem in better manner with these inputs.

DEar Sriyan,
I just found that my informixdir point to G drive but actually my informix in E drive. I dont know how this can happend.Can Drive letter been change permanently in Win2k ?. I have tried to change the drive from "G" to "E" in "ONCONFIG.ol_cg_nt" also edit the file "ol_cg_nt.cmd". I manage to run it manualy. However I still cannot start the service, because at the service path to executable the file still pointing to "G:\informix\bin\onscpah.exe ol_cg_nt" . Can it be edited to change the drive G to E, or is there any other ways to solve this problem.
