I have a COT tied to a VPN in an option 81 to allow the user to access his "private line." When he dials *82 to display his caller ID it does not pass the " * " key. But if he dials "# * 82" that works. Any thoughts?

# indicates end of dialer and will then pass addiional digits on. you will probably get the same results if you pressed no keys until after the end of dialer timed out.

This is usefull also when calling a pager or auto attendant service that requires digits sent.

Hi
The * digit is translated to a pause on analog trunks, I think. But after the dial timer, times out ( or you press # ). the * will go to trunk as a *.
