Cost of item in BOM and costing in Valuation report

When printing setup report for BOM, the cost per unit of an item in the BOM shows the Most recent cost and not the Actual cost.Moving average is the costing method.From my experience, this is not correct - should be ACTUAL COST as on the Item Valuation report.Am I correct?

You don't say what version you are using.
I checked in IC 5.3 SP2.
If you have a positive qty on hand in the location specified for the report then the actual cost is applied, else the most recent cost is applied.
