Corrupt WP 9 document

I've seen it written but can't find it now when I need it -- how can I "fix" a corrupt WordPerfect document? Any ideas? Thanks!

You can use wplook.exe 3-4 times as explained here to repair wp files:

Or, try the x-retrieve method. Type any letter in a new blank document, delete that letter or character, then do and Insert, File.

Sometimes, tables can be repaired with a Startup Switch. See wp's help and search for Startup to see how the switch is used.

Another method is to scroll with reveal codes open until it crashes. Delete the code just prior to the crash.

Lastly, here is one tip that sometimes works. Turnoff proofread or set one of the proofread options. Click Tools, Proofread to set these.

Thank you so much!! I did try WPLOOK once and it looked like it was doing something but it didn't. I also tried the X thing, but didn't Insert the file. I don't know what I was trying to do! I'll try all of your suggestions and keep them for the future.
