I currently have a PIX 506E protecting our network. I have budget to replace this unit. From what I can tell on Cisco's website, it looks like the ASA 5505 is the replacement/upgrade for the 506E. We have 60 users. Am I on the right track?

You're on the right track - I've upgraded a few clients in the past with that path.

A couple of notes:

* Get the service contract, if only for the updates. The ASA had a problem with ASDM (Cisco's configuration program) with newer versions of Java. Newer firmwares were supposed to fix the problem, but I haven't seen it.
* If you cannot get the service contract (for whatever reason), be sure to have a PC with Java 6 update 7 ONLY - that's the latest Java pack I've seen that works properly.

Hope that helps...
