Corporate Directory using LDAP server

Is there a way to use the Corporate Directory by using
a LDAP server without using OTM. The user doesn't want
to use OTM because they also use it for call accounting
and are afraid it might affect how their billing is set up
and they want changes to be dynamic.

corp directory will not affect call accounting.

the corp directory doesn't change anything, it just provides a report based on existing database information.
