I was able to get the Corporate Directory to work in my 7.5 upgrade. But when I export the file, then modify it, then import it, then upload it, nothing changes on the phones. Any ideas? I'm doing this so not all the faxes and conference rooms show up in the CD.

CLS CRPA...But you'd know that..Yeah

Cheers!!

You can edit those subscriber accounts to change the published field to no, then they will not be included in the Corporate Directory generated csv file.

I will check into that. Do you know why the the export/import doesn't work though? The customer wants to be able to modify this file and the import it back in with their changes.

I think there was a "gotcha" when I did this a few weeks ago - something about a step that wasn't obvious after the import. I'll try and sort through my notes and see what I can find.

you need to update your Corporate Directory within PDT by typing thoses commands:

pdt>INIT_CORP_DIR
pdt>UPDATE_CORP_DIR

then check the sets if corp dir is updated.

I cant hardly have the customer going into PDT when ever they want to update the Corporate Directory. Any other idea's

Go to UCM -> CS 1000 Services -> Corporate Directory -> import new csv file and finally upload it to elements

Did that, doesn't update the phones

I agree you dont have to go into PDT to get the updates in my experience.
Firstly cant you set the numbers you want to exclude as unpublished ?
What are you doing when you edit the file ? Also is the Upload date and time changing when you re-upload ?

Anyone found a way to schedule the update ?

The latest num-grp linux patch just solved this problem for me. They took a major step backwards with corporate directory in 7.5

morgans12, please explain. What is the num-grp linux patch? Was it in the latest service pack or is this a VO patch? Mine will launch now but when I try to generate I get an error that it's already in use by "admin

num-grp is one of the ones in the service pack. If youve got the newest service pack then you have the newest num-grp patch (I think its .7). I had the "already in use" problem too. I generated the report and it worked fine. When I uploaded it it failed and went into that locked condition. I had to restart the system to clear it. When it came back I changed direction and went the csv route. I generated a report picking the first and last name option, exported it, saved it as an excel file which makes it a lot easier to see, modified it (all you really need is the last name, first name and dn), imported it back to the pbx and then uploaded it. In my case the need for this was to make it possible to call acd users and cdp entries. I have a norstar and bcm running off this particular CS1K. Hopefully your not in a hospital and you can bounce the switch. Let me know if I need to explain more or differently.

Is this a patch in the Signal Server or in System Manager????????????

I looked in the SS yesterday and didn't see a patch that looked like this. I'm curious why the patch would be in the SS when Corporate Directory now lives in System Manager. Do you have System Manager or is your Primary Security a Signal Server?

The system that I am referencing is running on a CP-MGS. Its co-res callserver and signaling server. Primary security server is the CP-MGS.

Understood, I have System and Session Manager so that's my Primary Security Server. My Corporate Directory lives on my System Manager server.
