CorelDraw 9 Freezing up issue

I have been having this issue with Corel for a while on this computer. About 60% of the time I try to open/import/export a file or anything that brings up the directory structure CorelDraw locks up on me and I have to end task and open CorelDraw again and hope it doesn't lock up when opening the file again. I am running Win XP Media Center Edition and have already tried reinstalling Corel without any luck. Anyone have any suggestions on fixing the issue?

Difficult to say, what version of Draw are you running?

Not sure to be honest, I would install a POSTSCRIPT printer, anyone will do , set it to file and make sure this is your default printer as Draw does look for this. Is it the same file that causes problems or anything imported, is it files from the same source?

It is just the act of opening up the directory browser for importing/exporting/saving/opening. It happens no matter what directory it is in when openned.

Try pressing F8 when launching Draw and accept factory default workspace when prompted. Corrupt workspaces cause problems in later versions not sure about V9 though, missed that one. If your workspace is customised you can save that first and reload after start. I'm clutching at straws now.

Not happy to say I have had the same problem last month!
After disabling the Hyper Trade in BIOS, COrel Draw 9 works fine.
There were also some posts about a problem with nVidia graphics cards and Corel Draw 9 so I downloaded a newest driver:
84.21_forceware_winxp2k_english_whql.exe
but, believe they still did not solve the problem with Corel Draw 9 freezes while Open/Import/Export

Hey the bios fix worked and I haven't had an issue with it yet. Thanks a ton.
