Hi,

Using CorelDraw8 in Windows XP and have problem when trying to print.
When i click the properties button it displays the screen but it is displayed wrong (*&|||||||) like that where it should display, page size etc.
If i access the printer properties through other progs like word all displays fine.
Have re-installed printer and Coreldraw 8 tryed running it in different compatibility modes with no luck. Have V8.369 i know the last patch for V8 was V8.433 but cant seem to find this anywhere to see if it would cure the problem.

Any advice would be really appreciated...at a dead end on this one!!!

it's just a general incompatibility with XP as it's a 16-bit app and XP's a 32-bit OS. You'll need to set printer settings through the printer dialog box (start | settings | printers) I believe.

thanks javabear is there any other way round it as the printer settings return to default even if i set them in start/settings/printers. is there any way i can make xp run coreldraw in 16-bit?

Nope, you'll need to upgrade to a newer version of Draw to take advantages of things like that. The current version is 12.

strange thing is version 7 works fine!!?? is there any files icould perhaps copy from V.7 install to the V.8 folders that would enable the printer dialog box to display correctly?
