new to corel!please can anyone help?i have put a photo on to a template for a pillow case, however cannot preview the whole thing and cannot email it. the message that comes up says'the specified file cannot be identified as a supported type'
Where did the template come from? Is it a Corel Template, or something from another software application? You may have to Import the file, instead of trying to open it directly. BTW, which version are you using?
hi there i am using corel 11. i have imported both template and image, and i save as corel document but i am unable to preview it. please can you help me!!
If you imported the template, you may not be able to save the file as a *.CDR file, as you may be modifying the actual template file (*.CDT). Unless I am misunderstanding something. My guess is that the changes you are making to the template file is actually changing the template, instead of changing the applied images to that template (if that makes sense)?
If I am misunderstanding your dilema, please let me know. Just to verify, was this a Corel Draw template? And did you apply the image to the template, or did the image come already included in the template?
hi there thankyou for your responses, i think we have cracked it, this may sound very elementary however bearing in mind we are corel (and somewhat computer virgins) what happened is that my partner was trying to send me a corel file and as i did not have corel installed on my computer hence i could not open it.''I know shockingly elementary!!!!'' however i have now got the corell 11 software and tried installing it on my computer but it stops half saying i have an error 1305 on it. please could you shed some light on it we would be eternally grateful.
Hmmm... I am not familiar with that error. You may contact Corel and see what they say. My guess would be a driver or software conflict (possibly network if installing across a network share). Sorry I don't have a better solution.
