Corel Draw 8 Classic Version no *.pcx import?

Hello,
i got a corel Draw Version 8 called Classic Version and installed it with all the stuff comming on CD (only Draw filters and files).
I am used to import pictures in filename.pcx because i can change colours very effectiv.
When i try to import a pcx file there are all formats i know abot but no PCX.
How can i get this Import Filter?
Is it possible to install it after the program installation?

Hi Rolf,

Try this and see if it works. I'm goint to take you thru a small shortcut

1) Double click the drop shadow of your page ...a window that says options should pop up

2) At the far left side click on the "+" beside the word "Global" to extend it's branch

3) Click on Filters

4) Click on the "+" beside the word "Raster"

5) Scroll down to "PaintBrush(PCX)"

6) Click on the "Add>>" button in the middle of the lists

7) Click OK

Thank you for the hint!
But there is no File Format PCX to choose on left side where all the filters are listed. Is it because I have no PC Paintbrush installed on my System?
I work with Windows XP.
How can I get PCX File Format?

Hi rolfwitt,

Sorry the info didn't help out. I'm thinking that corel should have installed with the PCX filter when corel was installed onto your computer. I could be wrong. It is possible that corel is reading all system filters, like it does for fonts.

Could you make a list of the filters you have under the "Raster" heading. I would like to compare what you have to what I have, to see what the difference is.
