Installed a KX-TD7896B cordless to a KX-TA624. When a call presents the cordless will vibrate. I went into the cordless settings and set incoming to vibrate > ring. That did not work. Turned vibrate off and set the speaker volume to 6. That did not work. It always vibrates. When I plug the cordless into a corded jack then the cordless does ring. The only ring selection for extension I can find is for internal intercom calls (115). There must be a setting that controls this.

has the socket got a yellow capacitor in ie a master socket as it needs one to ring. the ext socket may have had a proprietory phone on it before.

if it is viberating, then it is detecting the ring, is there a speaker phone on it, if so does it work

I I plug the cordless into extensions 101-112 it rings. If I plug the cordless into 113-116 it only vibrates. It has to be a extension setting.

I was going to suggest making sure it isn't in meeting mode, you can tell by an 'M' on the display, I believe you hold down the star key to turn it on or off. But if it rings on some ports and not on others, I'm lost. I do seem to remember there also being a setting called ring on charger where if enabled the phone would ring while being charged regardless of other settings.
