anyone recomend a really good analog cordless phone?

Im looking for a phone I could hook to an analog extension and travel a half mile or so from the base. Is this possible? Money is not an issue, just looking for the best.

Thanks

Nortel doesn't make anything like that. The DECT digital wireless phone has great range, and could give a couple hundred yards, or so in an unobstructed environment.

For your needs, DECT would be a very expensive solution. Cell phones, walkie-talkies or something similiar would be cheaper and provide longer range.

I have used the EnGenius SN-920 Ultra Cordless Phone on other phone systems with good results. It has been a while, it looks like that phone model has been replace with the DuraFon 1X.

Our EnGenius SN-920 Ultra don't work more than a few hundred feet, even with an external Ant.

thank everyone. I'll stick with the call foward to cell phone for now, but would love a long range cordless.
