Hey All

Sort of off topic... I am looking for a cordless phone that has programmable keys. Not Avaya brand. Just any standard cordless phone that I can plug into a combo card.

I would like to program some short codes into the cordless phone for transferring calls to make it easier on reception.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thank you in advanced!

Non Avaya with programmable buttons won't happen (possibly never ever)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Well, surely there are cordless phones that have their own speed dial buttons or codes, where you could program shortcodes onto.

We used to use Panasonic cordless phones on Partner systems, program a speed dial button with 6801 and label it "Pick up Line 1", another button with 6802 labeled "Pickup Line 2", etc.

Not familiar with what is available out there these days, haven't done retail phones in a long time.

Speeddials is not something i think of when somebody says programmable buttons :)
But yes you are right.
But for full integration you still need an Avaya phone.

you will need to press flash in either case so you will need a phone with speeddial buttons that can just dial the numbers. I bought recently a Panasonic and it has speeddial but only when you press the keypad before picking up it actually dials.
Panasonic has the KX-TG6592T that has A, B and C if that is all you need.

Thanks guys! Speed dial buttons would work great I think for what I need done.

Anyone use the dect phones before? Are they worth it? Easy to set up??

Thank you again!

DECT phones are definitely the way to go if you want to cover an area larger than can be covered by an analog cordless phone.

If the customer has the funds, Dect R4 is the way to go.
Battery lifetime is great, especially on the IP 3720, centralized phonebook, transfer, etc..
Put external antennas on the IPBS and the coverage is awesome.

Kind regards

Gunnar
