Cordless phone on ATA 1

OK, I am having major problems with these M7410's because either I can't find them, or when I find them they don't work properly, or they are too expensive and the customers don't want them, yet they really want a cordless... so, I would really appreciate it if someone would have a brilliant idea about which store bought- or other kind- cordless on an ATA would give me system features.. hold, transfer, page, etc... And what does it take to make such work? Big HELP!!! Thank you all!

look at teh faqs for a list of ATA access codes
most of the features can be invoked from a regular cordless + ATA

M7410's are useless... by the time you buy an ata and a good quality cordless phone (engenius or panasonic gigarange) you might as well use T7406 Norstar cordless for around the same price.

I have used engenius. They have good range, but they seem a bit flimsy/ breakable to me. I have never tried the Panasonic gigarange. Have you compared the two telemarv? If so does the gigarange equal the engenius's reception and range capability?

Cordless phones use the flash as a feature button.
So if you wanted to Transfer, you would go flash *70.
The ATA user guide has the codes as well as the FAQ section.
Avoid the T7406, too many problems.

I've used all 3 (panasonic, engenius and 7406). Engenius will out distance the panasonic but not by much. Neither are sturdy if dropped, but panasonic feels good in your hand. For funtionality and ease of use I recommend T7406 (no flash and access codes to remember), but as galfaro says they do have problems... limited range (only 900Mhz). If caller ID is a requirement the only solution is the 7406... ATA's don't pass caller ID info.
