Is this possible?

I'm thinking about writing the GUI for an editor in VB and communicating to another program written in C++

I'm familiar with using corba in C++ but haven't been able to find much info on its applications in VB

I don't know much about .NET but I'm guessing you could do this a lot easier if it was VB NET instead of VB 6

However the GUI I wrote in VB 6 relies heavily on shapes and converting this turns everything into crap

Might be easier than I think tho -- I've never really used VB NET

Maybe I should port it over anyway... Is it worth it?

Thanks for your time!

After a quick Google I found this link to VBOrb, which is described as:

"...an Object Request Broker, written entirely in Visual Basic 5. With VBOrb you can write CORBA Visual Basic clients and servers."

Hope this helps!

I used to rock and roll every night and party every day. Then it was every other day. Now I'm lucky if I can find 30 minutes a week in which to get funky. - Homer Simpson
