Copying files to a client PC

Is there a a simple way to create a package and advertisment to copy non exe files to client machines??

Yes, you can create copy commands in SMS Installer. An example is:

Check free disk space
Set Variable FROM to \\server\folder
Set Variable ROOT to C:Copy local file from %FROM%\test.txt to %ROOT%\test.txt

Compile this to create a .exe file and then create a package and advertisement in SMS that deploys this .exe file to a collection.
