Copying db from one domain to another.

I am completely new to this so bear with me. I have 50 domains which each of these reside on the same host. Each domain is state specific. I have set up one site the way I want using the control panel of the website which I assume writes the data to a database to be extracted later via PHP. Well setting this up is a lengthy process and I thought that instead of manually configuring through control panel I could copy the db I already have configured to the other domains then just change the state references... make hours into minutes this way.

What info would I need from my host and how would I go about doing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You would need a tool that would extract the schema or dump the data and schema. Mysqldump is the standard utility, but the control panel may have some functionality that mimics that.

the usual tool is phpmyadmin...you can dump the entire db structure and copy it to the other dbs...

is there a particular reason why you can't use one shared db?

i cannot share it because it will be completely seperate groups based on states... it is basically a hobby site segregated by state. Ok I have phpmyadmin access to these sites and I see how the export process works... however I am not doing something right.

I need the data in db "b" to be deleted and the data from db "a" inserted into it... i have tried things and get duplicate data errors and tried flipping switches etc... cant get it to work correctly...
