I am trying to copy a datawindow and use that copy in another sheet.

1. I copy the datawindow to the pbl I want it in.
2. I rename it.
2. I add an empty datawindow to my new sheet, and reference the copied datawindow in its properties.
3. Everything looks fine in powerbuilder.
4. When I run it, nothing is in the datawindow, but the rest of the sheet is populated. Not even the labels are visible in the dsatawindow.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the datawindow object is missing. Is the library (.pbl) which contains the dwo in the application path?

It is blank even if I reference the original datawindow while working in the same .pbl.

I'm really changing nothing. When I work on the sheet with the datawindow in it in the painter, everything looks fine.

Did you check on the datawindow object the script under the constructor event the following?:

this.settransobject(sqlca)
this.Retrieve()
