Copying Config from a CICs 1.0

We have a CICS JS = CICS 1.0 EXPANDED (8X16/24) H03.

What's the most effecient way to copy the config?
I have a CICS 4.1 that I want to use as a crash kit.

I have a local PC with NRU 10, using direct connect via Fast RAD, and the Remote Set works great.
However, it looks like the BRU and OLP tools aren't compatable with CICS 1.0.
So to make a full copy of the config, do I have any options other than stepping through it using the remote set?

You can backup a CICS R1.0 using the Norstar Manager portion of NRU. You can then restore the backup to the spare CICS using R1.0 software. Then power down and put the R4.1 software in the spare CICS. I'm fairly certain you can go from R1.0 to R4.1 on the CICS, but you might need to go to R2.0 first and then R4.1. I'm sure someone on this forum will know for sure.

If the CICS doesn't have that much programming it might be faster to just manually key it in.

Great, so daft question, I'm digging around in the NRU, and don't see "Norstar Manager", is that part of NRU 10, or seperate software?

I've seen references for "Norstar Manager 3.7" in other threads, but struggling to find a download.

Getting closer...

I tried to add a system, but the Norstar Manager tells me it must be a fixed lenght of 10? Our system ID is only 8 digits.

I also tried a quck connect, and had the response....
"KSU Varient Unsupported by Norstar Manager, try using remote tools"?

Any ideas?

That's just a system ID you assign, not the system ID of the CICS. Most people use the 10-digit main number of the system, or you can just use 1234567890

I added a system, but can't do anything with it.

Qiuck connect still gives the response....

Thanks, but looks like I'm stuck.
WhenI set the system type to "CICS/MICS2.0/Other", the "Run Job /Submit Job" and "Start Online Session" options are greyed out.

Also, the admin guide states backup/restore not supported on CICS 1.0.
Oddly enough the guide state to use Remote Utilities for CICS Backup, I have NRU10 that connects and then stats CICS 1.0 isn't supported.

This makes me sad

I just read that. It does say you can use Remote Tools. This is from the Remote Tools guide:

When you are using Norstar Manager, open the ICS Remote Tools window by
selecting Open Remote Tools from the File menu. The ICS Remote Tools
window uses the connection settings for the current customer as they are stored
in the Norstar Manager database.
