So. Without thinking, I renamed one of my auto attendants. Now I have lost the recording. Is there a way I can salvage the recordings?

Thanks,
Neill.

The recordings are still there
C:\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\WAVS

you just have to pick it from the recordings in there

Not if this is Embedded, and I think it is. (VM modules would keep the wave file intact on rename.)

Try renaming it back

Kind regards

If it is embedded then there is a good chance the recordings are still on the SD card.
Use the build in filemanager in Manager software and look at the details of all recordings, it will show the type of recording ( AA or VM ) and the name of the AA or User.
Then with a hex editor you can change the name of the AA, erase/rename the current one and send the modified back to SD, restart the SD card using SSA.

Well you have at least 24hrs, before housekeeping will bin them off for good....:)

hurry hurry, this wouldn't be a problem if you make backups after changing the announcements ( remove the SD card and dump everything on your harddrive )

I am using embedded voicemail.

The only files I can find on the SD card that look close are in the System/Dynamic/LVmail folder. All CLP files, but with the right info in the 'Announcement Data' info box on the right.

Luckily it was only one announcement.. :)

The .clp files are the announcments, if you post it I can put it back to .wav and then you could upload it again :)
