We use exchange server, and the office calendar is currently on the user account of our team manager. The calendar is shared throughout the office. The manager is leaving soon, and the calendar needs to be moved to the user account of her replacement. Is there any way of copying the whole calendar, without have to type in every entry manually?

Gice the new person FULL rigths to the leaving person.
Add the leaving person's account to the new one in Outlook.
You will have 2 accounts open then, so you can drag (copy or move) anything you need to the new one.

After that, remove the leaving mailbox from the account and take away the rights.

Done.

Thanks for replying. I've already given the new user full rights, but am not sure how to add the leaving person's account to the new one. Could you explain, please?

In Outlook, Tools - options - Mail Setup - E-Mail Accounts - View - Choose the existing one and click Change - then More Settings - Advanced Tab and Add to add the leaving account

I don't seem to have those options on ,y version of outlook (outlook 2000 SR-1).

There is no mail setup option on options. I have preferences, mail services or delegates, but none seem to give me the option to add accounts.

Go via control panel - mail - profiles..

Or wherever you set it up in the first place, just get to the account settings.

BTW, I do suppose you are connecting in corporate mode right? Not POP3 or IMAP, and not using PST files, in which case it is different.

What I am using is microsoft management console 1.2 version 5.0 to create the user accounts, and the calendar is held in outlook 200 sr-1.

Whatever works for you, and as long as you can access the user profile to add the leaving user-id.
Since it is only 1 user, you may as well do it straight on the PC in question.

I would just export the calendar to a .pst file and import the file on the other user's account.

If you want to make it more difficult, yes, that is an option.

I'm using Outlook 2000.

Log in as the user who's calendar events you want to move and navigate to their calendar. Choose View > Current View > By Category.

Select all and drag to a target folder, such as one in a pst file.

marcs41 is correct - if you want to transfer events to another user's calendar, give them access to the mailbox, as he suggests, and maybe use the method above.
